We All Have a Beginning
Most of us didn’t start out living holy and righteous lives. We were born into sin, and for many of us, sin took hold. Because of that, we’ve wronged others—and others have wronged us. We’ve been hurt, and some of us still carry that pain today.
But regardless of what you’ve encountered in this life, God can use your suffering for His glory.
Let’s Bring Scripture Into This
Remember Joseph?
Dirt was thrown on his name. His own brothers—whom he loved—betrayed him. His boss, whom he served faithfully, had him imprisoned. I can imagine he felt betrayed and mishandled. Yet, in the end, God got the glory.
He even said:"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good."
Remember Jesus?
He suffered. He died. Men shamed Him. Do we really think His life on earth was pleasant?
Physically, people looked at Him with shame. But spiritually? A redemption process for all of mankind was unfolding.
The enemy thought he won, but Christ changed the narrative. It was the beginning of a rescue story.
You May Have Been Abused—Mentally, Emotionally, or Even Physically
That doesn’t mean God wanted it to happen. But it does mean He can use that pain and turn it around for good.
God didn’t cause that hurt—man did. But through your healing, He can reveal the character traits you need to surrender so you can become more like Him.
He doesn’t waste anything."You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle." — Psalm 56:8
Through the pain and resistance you’ve faced, He will bring forth what He desires from you.
He can transform you.
"He will give you a crown of beauty for ashes..." — Isaiah 61:3
He’s the greatest Artist—not one who starts over when something goes wrong, but One who incorporates the “error” into the masterpiece. He doesn’t erase it. He uses it.
What Am I Saying?
You went through it. You can’t change the fact that it happened. But you can choose to use the situation to give Him glory.
He Uses the Unlikely
Ever wonder why Christ came through a bloodline of women with questionable pasts?
Tamar was a deceiver.
Rahab was a prostitute.
Ruth and Bathsheba were both widowed.
Or why He came from a place where people said, “Can anything good come from Nazareth?”
Or why He chose to redeem mankind through an act of public shame and humiliation?
These points show that God can use anything—and anyone—for His glory.
With that being said-
Share your story. Don’t hide your pain or bury your suffering. Let Him turn your pain into purpose.
You may not want to be associated with it because of the shame it brought, but remember—Christ also endured shame, and we still speak of it today.
Place your story in His hands and watch what He does with it.
